The wedding cake is such an integral part of weddings nowadays that at least one photograph of the bride and groom cutting the first slice together is almost always taken. To make this moment even more special, most couples want to have a special knife and server for the cake-cutting ceremony. At the Wedding Centre, you can choose from a variety of styles with prices to fit any budget!
After the wedding you can keep using your set...the cake knife also makes a wonderful bread knife, and the server comes in handy for serving pies and pizzas, among other typically round things.

Where there are weddings, there is usually cake! In fact, cakes in some form or another have been a special part of weddings since Ancient Rome. Many traditions are associated with the wedding cake, from saving the top layer for your first anniversary to single women sleeping with a slice of wedding cake under their pillow with the hopes of dreaming about their future husband! The custom of sending guests home with a piece of cake in a protective box or wax-lined cake bag is connected to the latter tradition, in fact.
Add style to your wedding cake with just the right top! Be sure to consult with your baker to find out the size of your cake's top layer...that's what determines the best size for your cake top. You'll also want to ask about any weight limitations, as some cake tops are fairly heavy.

The unity candle ceremony, where the bride and groom each take a lit taper candle and together light the unity candle and join their two flames into one, is an important part of many weddings! In addition to the three candles, you'll need holders, and you'll find many options that will enhance your unity candle arrangement here.
You can choose from convenient three-arm one-piece candelabras, or mix and match three individual pieces for maximum flexibility. Guest and Gift Books and Pen Sets
Having a guest book for your guests to sign at your wedding reception, anniversary party, shower, or other important event creates a meaningful keepsake of the day, and provides a permanent record of those who were with you at your special occasion. Guest books are usually displayed on a table near the entrance so people can sign when they come in. One of your attendants can be assigned to greet guests as they arrive, direct them to sign the guest book, and distribute place cards, if needed. This is a nice thing to assign to a younger relative who might not otherwise be included in the wedding.
And of course, you'll want to provide a special pen for your guests to use...not only for its decorative appeal, but also because it's more likely to stay by the book if it looks like it belongs there. In fact, one of the reasons that pens adorned with large ostrich feathers are so popular is that it's virtually impossible to walk away with one in your pocket!

Many couples choose to have a younger boy or girl as their ring bearer. This special child walks in the processional with the wedding party, traditionally carrying the wedding rings up to the altar on a small satin pillow. These days, most couples entrust the actual rings to the best man, but having a ring bearer is still a great way to include a younger friend or relative. Simply attach imitation rings to the pillow, and you won't have to worry about the real ones getting lost!

A unity sand pouring ceremony is a modern alternative to the traditional unity candle ceremony. In this ceremony, the bride and groom (and sometimes the clergy and/or children of the couple) hold small containers filled with colored sand and take turns pouring the sand into a larger container, creating beautiful layers of colorful sand to represent the blending of their individual lives into one. This larger container then becomes a lasting keepsake of the special day.
We offer six different unity sand pouring ceremony sets, many of which can be personalized, and sand is available in sixteen different colors to make it easy to coordinate with your wedding. Sets include one larger center container and three smaller containers. Additional small containers are available for purchase separately.
